On December 10, 2021 the Nipissing Rotary Club welcomed Kiersten Vuormaki, (daughter of Rotarian Lyn), a spokesperson for the National Trust for Canada as a guest speaker. Kiersten spoke about her work at National Trust for Canada / Fiducie nationale du Canada including Canada’s Historic Places and about the upcoming Canada’s Historic Places Days beginning July 8, 2022. There will be many free events happening all across Canada for this exciting historic mission!

Kiersten also spoke about recent efforts to rehabilitate the NORAD Complex in North Bay for adaptive reuse, to the economic, environmental and cultural benefit of the region. The Club was honoured to be a part of this important conversation glad to have Kiersten share their knowledge with members.
